Thileepan “Thileep” was an intern with ANS Consultants in the summer of 2007. After working at several local firms focusing on geotechnical engineering, Thileep joins ANS Geo as Principal Engineer with over 14 years of continuously growing civil and geotechnical engineering experience to our firm, with an emphasis on public and private infrastructure, commercial buildings, deep foundation support and special inspections, and support of excavation for projects in urban environments.

His experience includes managing geotechnical investigation programs for geotechnical elements and foundations for a wide variety of environmental, water, wastewater, transportation, natural gas pipeline, renewable, and offshore wind projects. His technical experience consists of performing and reviewing geotechnical calculations for bearing capacity of shallow foundations, deep foundations such as driven piles, micropile/caisson design, helical pile design, support of excavation design, and retaining wall design. His project management responsibilities include project coordination, training staff in the field, and preparation and review of geotechnical evaluation and recommendation reports and design calculations and preparing cost estimates and scope of work proposals for geotechnical tasks for a variety of projects.  His field experience includes inspecting and overseeing pile and caisson installations, anchor bolt testing, subgrade inspection, support of excavation, and underpinning construction.

In spare time, Thileep likes drawing and painting, playing soccer and softball, watching English Premier League games on the weekends, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
