We are seeking motivated and driven early career professionals to join our team and support engineering and geotechnical projects as an intern with ANS Geo!

 

Our team consists of engineering and scientific professionals licensed in over 40 states and with over 100 years of collective experience.   Collaboration, communication, and respect are traits which exemplify our team, and we seek to provide an environment which will provide progressive career growth to each of our team members.   Joining our team as an intern provides an incredible learning experience, as our firm is geared toward on-going growth, education, and technical training for our interns and staff.

 

“Must-have” profile of the successful candidate include:

  • Enrolled in or completing a BS in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related degree
  • Valid US Drivers License, and a reliable means of transportation
  • Ability to travel, frequently and for extended periods of times (two to three weeks)
  • Communication skills, ability to find solutions to problems, and get-it-done attitude!
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

 

“Nice-to-have” skills for the successful candidate may include:

  • Experience with AutoCAD or ArcGIS
  • Prior experience with geotechnical investigations, including soil borings, rock coring, and material testing
  • Interest in renewable energy

 

The challenge that lies ahead include:

  • Working alongside a team of high-performing engineering and technical professionals
  • Prepare boring location and site location maps using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Google Earth, or other Microsoft Office-based tools;
  • Perform basic field tasks such as test boring inspection, testing supervision and construction monitoring;
  • Prepare logs, field reports, recommendation reports, plans and specifications to be reviewed by a Senior Engineer.
  • Interfacing directly with coworkers, clients, and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Actively participating in your career growth, including the opportunity to join elective continuing education courses, being involved in community and professional societies, and managing projects and experiences that stretch you outside of your comfort zone to grow as a professional.
