ANS Geo staff conducted a geotechnical investigation consisting of 33 soil borings, 30 test pits, 12 MASW tests, and eight electrical resistivity tests in support of the design for an over 300 MW solar farm on 3,700 acres in Wasco County, Oregon.
In addition to the soil borings, test pits, MASW tests, and electrical resistivity tests, soil and rock samples were submitted for thermal resistivity, CBR, corrosion, and material index testing.
ANS Geo staff prepared a recommendations report for each aspect of the completed investigation including L-Pile design parameters for solar panel installation and the transmission lines, and roadway design parameters.
